Description:

Annual herb, erect or straggling, up to 30 cm. Leaves 4-foliolate with obovate to elliptic leaflets. Flowers axillary, solitary on stalks, yellow with red veins, often partly underground. Fruits, the well-known ground nut or peanut, irregularly oblong, up to 2 cm, maturing underground. |
