Leafy perennial up to 80 cm tall, from a short rhizome. Culms slender, 3-angled, the bases covered with scales and old leaf bases. Inflorescence a slender panicle with main branches protruding from the upper leaf sheaths and ending in small corymb-like clusters. Glumes brown; perianth of 6 unequal bristles. |
