Annual grass up to 45 cm tall, erect or ascending, often rooting from the nodes. Leaves 3–11 cm long, with a blunt apex. Inflorescence of 3–12 (sub)digitate racemes 1.5–7 cm long. Spikelets 2-flowered, 1–2-awned; inferior glume 1.3–1.4 mm long; superior glume 2–2.4 mm long. Fertile lemma narrowly elliptic in profile, 2.4–2.8 mm long, pallid, scabrid. Awn 11–27 mm long. |
