Annual up to 50(65) cm tall, geniculately ascending; leaf laminas 1–4 cm × 1.5–6 mm, lanceolate.Inflorescence 4–11(15) cm long, embraced below by the uppermost leaf sheath, the spikelets densely packed and ascending.Spikelets 4–5.5 mm long with a slender stipitiform callus 0.7–1.5 mm long; glumes irregularly appressed-scaberulous to pubescent, with a slender rather stiff awn, those of the 2 glumes similar, 15–25 mm long.Caryopsis flattened. |
