Perennial. Culms 20–60 cm. long, wiry, trailing or geniculately ascending, the internodes longer than the leaf-sheath. Leaf laminae 1–4 cm. long, 2–6 mm. wide, lanceolate to narrowly ovate, ± reflexed. Panicle 5–12 cm. long, lanceolate to ovate; pedicel hairs inconspicuous, up to 1 mm. long. Spikelets 3.5–5 mm. long, minutely pubescent, sometimes also tuberculate-setose. Superior lemma pubescent, with lateral tufts 0.4–1 mm. long; central awn 6–12 mm. long, the laterals 1.5–3.5 mm. |
