Description: |
Robust herbaceous shrub to 3 m tall with erect or ascending stems. Leaves petiolate: lamina elliptic to ovate, pubescent to lanate with red sessile glands, succulent, soft, often variegated in cultivated specimens, with green and variegated leaves sometimes on the same plant; margin serrate or crenate. Inflorescence lax with c. 10 whorls of 5-7 flowered cymes. Corolla 8-26 mm long, blue or purple. |
