Robust perennial tussock plant, 15─50 cm tall with a short woody rhizome with crowded culms. Leaves basal with sheaths pale reddish-brown, and blades up to 10 cm long. Inflorescence of 1 sessile and (0-)2-5 stalked spikelets. |
