Description:
Small deciduous tree. Leaves alternate, broadly lanceolate, very hairy when young, becoming hairless on the upper surface with age. Flowers in large cream spikes, which turn hairy and brush-like when fruiting.
Notes:
Derivation of specific name: rochetiana: named after Rochet d'Hèricourt, French botanist and collector in Ethiopia during the mid-nineteenth century.
